Happy Vajra Buddha is also called Vajra, blood-drinking Vajra etc., it is the Yidam mother of the supreme yoga tantra. The happy vajra buddha in this thangka has a blue body with eight faces, 16 arms and four feet. All the 16 hands hold the Gabala bowl. The Bowls in eight right hands contain eight animals respectively, namely white elephant, green deer, green donkey, red bull, grey snake, red man, green lion and red cat, the bowls in eight left hands contain eight gods in the world, namely, the God of yellow earth, the God of white water, the God of red fire, the God of green wind, the God of the sun, the God of the moon, the God of death and the God of yellow wealth. The Yidam vajra buddha embraces the Consort, selfless Yoga mother, symbolizing the perfect state of both compassion and wisdom. The two figures stand on one foot, with their backs resting on the red flame and their feet treading on the four demons of heaven, Yun, death and worry, symbolizing the subduing of all demons and the removal of worries. In the middle of the tangka, there is a dorje Vajra. On both sides are the Indian and Tibetan ancestors who inherited the Vajra teachings. On the lower side, there are precious hangings and other accompanying gods.
