I filled a picture plane with flowers that have a fixed meaning as the symbol of “beauty”. This is an act aimed at verifying whether totally new “beauty” exists or not by just accepting and keep affirming flowers that are imagined “beauty”, rather than rejecting them.
When we look at a painting drawn with paints on a canvas, we recognize it as ”art”.
Then, when we look at a painting of flowers drawn with paints on a canvas, do we recognize it as “beautiful art”?
If the entire surface of a painting is filled with countless flowers, can it be a “very beautiful work of art”?
I am interested in “beauty” perceived by humans. When I excessively draw a symbol of beauty, does “beauty” dwell in the resultant work of art?
This series was born from such a simple question.
