Biography
James Jean is a Taiwanese-American artist working in printmaking, painting, and drawing. Jean obtained his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. His art practice blends contemporary themes with art-historical techniques inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, or Ukiyo-e prints, and classical portraiture. Jean's imaginative, fantastical, and delicate prints have made him a world-renowned artist, and he has collaborated with Prada and Google. Jean's The Editor - Night Mode, edition 549 of 781, is currently on display at Pellas Gallery in Boston, MA.
